Check a LinkedIn message before you send it
Paste a connection note or a message. You'll see the lines that make it read like a template or a pitch, and a score out of 100.
What it looks for
Openers everyone skips
"Hope this finds you well", "I came across your profile", "I'm reaching out because", "Quick question". People decide whether to read on from the preview line, and these lines tell them it's a template before they reach your point.
Saying you watched them
"I saw you viewed my profile" or "noticed you visited our pricing page" fails outright. The visit can be the reason you write. Saying it out loud makes people feel tracked.
Thanking them for connecting, in the note
A connection note arrives before they've accepted, so "thanks for connecting" in the note is a sure sign it was written for a list.
Words that read as machine-written
Delve, leverage, seamless, unlock, elevate, "in today's fast-paced world", "your growth journey", essay transitions like "Moreover,". Em dashes count too: in 2025 and 2026 they became the best-known sign that AI wrote something.
Praise with nothing behind it
"Impressive background", "love what you're building". Generic praise reads as a mail merge. React to one specific thing they said or did instead.
Shape and length
Over 45 words in a note or 80 in a first message, more than one question, sentences over 24 words, reading above about grade 8, and links in a first message. Each one makes a message harder to read and answer on a phone.
Questions
Does it use AI?
No. It's a list of rules and measures, more than 100 of them, so the same message always gets the same score. They're the rules Bingle's own writer has to pass before a draft is shown to anyone.
Do you see or keep what I paste?
No. The check runs in your browser. Your message isn't sent to Bingle or anyone else, and it's gone when you close the page.
What score should I aim for?
85 or more. When one of Bingle's own drafts scores under 85, it gets rewritten, and a draft that still falls short is held for a person to fix. Anything marked Fix first needs rewriting, whatever the score says.
How long can a connection note be?
LinkedIn's help page says each note can be up to 200 characters, and free accounts can add a note to 3 connection requests a month. Premium accounts have no monthly limit on notes. The counter above uses 200.
Will a high score get me replies?
It helps, but timing matters more than wording. A well-written note to someone who isn't thinking about your problem still goes unanswered. That's what Bingle is for: it watches for the moment someone shows interest, then writes from that moment.
