Short answer
Which LinkedIn prospecting tools work inside ChatGPT?
If you want ChatGPT to tell you who to contact on LinkedIn today and why, Bingle is our pick: its connector works on leads it has already ranked from buying signals and drafts the first message without sending unless you allow it. Expandi, La Growth Machine, Waalaxy, Linked API and Reach MCP also document a ChatGPT setup, ranging from importing prospects into a campaign (Waalaxy) to sending invites and messages from your account (Linked API, Reach MCP). Most connect as a custom MCP server, which needs Developer mode switched on in ChatGPT.
Six LinkedIn tools with a documented ChatGPT connection
Each entry says what ChatGPT can do through the tool and where it stops. Prices are each site's entry price for a plan that includes the connection.
How we compared
On 25 October 2026 we read each tool's MCP page, ChatGPT setup guide and pricing page, plus OpenAI's developer documentation on custom MCP servers. OpenAI's help centre article on Developer mode refused our reader with a 403 error that day, so plan details come from the vendors' guides. We didn't connect any tool to a live LinkedIn account for this post.
We make Bingle, so weigh its entry and our pick with that in mind. The order isn't a ranking: each tool says who it suits and where it falls short.

1. Expandi
Drafting campaigns and replies for your approval · From $99/mo per seat ($79 billed annually)
Expandi's MCP (in beta) lets ChatGPT read your leads, build lead lists, add and route leads in campaigns, draft whole campaigns and work your inbox. A campaign the chat drafts lands in Expandi's builder for you to review, and a reply it drafts goes out only when you approve it, now or scheduled. It can also say why a campaign stalled and resume stuck leads.
Its ChatGPT guide, updated 2 October 2026, was written on ChatGPT Plus and uses the Plugins menu with OAuth sign-in. You need an active Expandi subscription; Business is $99 a month or $79 billed annually, with a 7-day trial.
Watch out for: By design it can't start new outreach from the chat: no connection requests, no first messages, no activating a campaign. Disconnecting in Expandi cuts off every AI tool you've connected at once, not just ChatGPT.
2. La Growth Machine
Running LinkedIn and email campaigns from chat · From €60/mo per identity (€50 billed yearly)
La Growth Machine's official MCP has 50 tools, 24 that read and 26 that act. From ChatGPT you can ask which campaigns are working, get a draft for each reply still waiting on you, build an audience from a Sales Navigator search or a post's commenters, and duplicate and launch a campaign.
Every write asks for approval by default, and enriching a lead shows the credit cost and asks a second time. The MCP is free on every plan and in the 14-day trial; its analysis agent for questions about your outreach history is on Ultimate only.
Watch out for: You can tell ChatGPT to always allow a tool, which removes the check before sends. Pricing is per identity, so each LinkedIn sender is another €50 to €60 a month on Basic.
3. Waalaxy
Adding LinkedIn profiles to an existing campaign · MCP from €49/user/mo (Advanced, yearly billing)
Waalaxy's MCP gets prospects into Waalaxy. From ChatGPT it can list your prospect lists and your running or paused campaigns, then import LinkedIn profile URLs into a list and, if you say so, enrol them in a campaign. Its docs say the assistant confirms the list and campaign before importing.
You sign in with a magic link sent to your Waalaxy email. The MCP is on the Advanced and Business plans only; with yearly billing, which the pricing page selects on load, Advanced is €49 per user a month with 800 invitations a month and a 14-day trial.
Watch out for: ChatGPT can't write or edit messages, read replies or show campaign stats through it. The €19 Pro plan doesn't include the MCP.
4. Bingle
Asking ChatGPT who to contact today, and why · 7 days free, no card; then from US$49/mo
Bingle is the LinkedIn outreach tool we make. It watches buying signals such as likes and comments on competitors' posts, engagement with your own posts, profile views, job changes, hiring and funding, and ranks the people who fit your ideal customer by fit and timing. Through its connector you can ask ChatGPT who to contact today and why now, or why one lead ranks 86 and another 61.
It can also act on your workspace: draft a first message from a lead's signal without sending it, add people by pasting LinkedIn profile links, suggest changes to your ideal customer profile from the leads you approved and rejected, and set up a source that watches, say, commenters on two competitors' posts. The connector comes with every plan, from Starter at US$49 a month; steps and starter prompts are on Bingle for Claude and ChatGPT.
Watch out for: It is LinkedIn only, with no email steps and no contact database. The connector works on your Bingle workspace (leads, signals, ICP and sequences), so it can't browse LinkedIn at large for you. Sends still go from your own LinkedIn account, so LinkedIn's weekly limits apply as usual.
5. Linked API
Developers who want raw LinkedIn actions in chat · From US$49/mo per seat billed yearly (US$69 monthly)
Linked API calls itself an unofficial LinkedIn MCP server. It runs each action in a cloud browser signed in to a LinkedIn account you own, and says it never stores your password. Its tools let ChatGPT search people, companies, posts and jobs, read profiles and your inbox, send messages and connection requests, withdraw invites, comment, react, publish posts and see who viewed your profile. Sales Navigator tools need its Plus seat.
Its ChatGPT guide has you paste a URL that carries your Linked API token and identification token into chatgpt.com/plugins. One seat is one LinkedIn account; Core is US$69 a month or US$49 billed yearly, with a 7-day trial.
Watch out for: The connection URL contains both your tokens, so treat it like a password, and the tool list includes one that changes how many seats you pay for. There's no lead ranking or signal watching.
6. Reach MCP
Agencies running client accounts from one chat · From $20/mo for the first account
Reach MCP, built on the LinkedIn tool Kanbox, connects your LinkedIn account and your clients' to Claude, ChatGPT and automation tools through one URL. It puts 60 LinkedIn tools behind that URL, including messages, connection requests, Sales Navigator search, post reactions and publishing. In its example, the chat drafts a message or invite for everyone who reacted to a client's posts, numbers the drafts and sends only the numbers you approve, inside the account's daily limits.
ChatGPT connects over OAuth. Each LinkedIn account is linked once through Reach MCP's Chrome extension, which uses the existing LinkedIn session, so no password is shared. Pricing is $20 for the first account, $7 each up to ten and $5 after that, with a 7-day trial and no card.
Watch out for: The extension works through your live LinkedIn session. Its FAQ says custom connectors generally need a paid ChatGPT plan.
Our pick
If you sell from your own LinkedIn profile and want ChatGPT to answer "who should I write to today, and what do I say", Bingle is our pick. The connector works on people Bingle has already found from LinkedIn buying signals and ranked by fit and timing, so the chat starts from a short list with a reason for each name, not from a blank search.
It also keeps the risky parts off by default. Sending and spending credits stay off unless you tick them when you sign in, and even then the chat shows exactly what goes to whom and waits for a yes. Text from LinkedIn posts and profiles reaches the AI as data, never as instructions.
What each one can do from ChatGPT
The differences are bigger than the marketing suggests. This is what each tool's own documentation says the chat can do, read on 25 October 2026.
| Tool | Reads | Changes in the tool | Sends on LinkedIn from the chat | Asks first |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bingle | Ranked leads, signals, scores, sources, ICP | Adds leads, drafts messages, sets up sources, edits ICP | Only if you allowed sending at sign-in | Yes, shows what goes to whom |
| Expandi | Leads, campaigns, inbox, stats | Builds lists, drafts campaigns | Replies in existing threads only | Yes, every reply |
| La Growth Machine | Campaigns, leads, inbox, stats | Builds audiences, edits and launches campaigns | Replies as text or voice, and launches campaigns that send | Yes by default; can be set to always allow |
| Waalaxy | Prospect lists, campaign names | Imports prospects, enrols them | No | Confirms list and campaign |
| Linked API | Profiles, companies, posts, jobs, inbox | Posts, comments, reactions | Messages and connection requests | Not stated on the pages we read |
| Reach MCP | Reactions, profile views, inbox | Posts, Sales Navigator searches | Messages and invites | Yes, approve by number |
Read the last two columns first. A tool that only imports prospects (Waalaxy) or only drafts campaigns (Expandi) can't send a bad first message from a chat, however the prompt is worded. A tool with send tools is only as safe as its approval step.
How you add one to ChatGPT in October 2026
Apart from Waalaxy, which says it also appears in ChatGPT's own connector list, each of these is a custom MCP server you add yourself. OpenAI's developer documentation, read on 25 October 2026, calls them plugins and gives these steps:
- Turn on Developer mode. Expandi's and Linked API's guides find it under Settings, Security and login, and Expandi's notes the red risk label ChatGPT puts next to it.
- Open Plugins, press +, and choose to add a custom MCP server.
- Give it a name, paste the tool's server URL, and choose OAuth if the tool signs you in that way.
- Read the warning that custom MCP servers introduce risk, tick "I understand and want to continue", and press Create.
- Sign in to the tool when it asks, check the list of actions ChatGPT discovered, then start a new chat and pick the plugin.
The vendors' guides were written at different times, so their menu names differ: Expandi and Linked API say Plugins, La Growth Machine says Settings, Apps, and Waalaxy and Bingle say Apps, Advanced settings, Developer mode, then Create. If your screen doesn't match, find Developer mode first.
Expandi's guide points out one setting worth changing. Once a plugin is added, its Manage screen has a Permissions option for when ChatGPT should ask before using it, and the default is "Allow low-risk actions". If a tool can send on LinkedIn, set it to ask every time.
Which ChatGPT plan you need
The vendors don't agree, and OpenAI's help article on Developer mode wouldn't load for us on 25 October 2026. Here is what each tool's own page says:
| What it says about ChatGPT plans |
|---|
| Expandi's ChatGPT guide (2 Oct 2026) |
| Custom plugins work on all ChatGPT plans, free included; its steps were done on Plus |
| La Growth Machine's MCP page |
| Developer mode must be on; on Business and Enterprise a workspace admin turns it on |
| Waalaxy's MCP docs |
| Connector availability depends on your ChatGPT plan |
| Reach MCP's FAQ |
| Adding a custom connector generally requires a paid plan on ChatGPT |
The quick test is to open Settings in your own ChatGPT and look for Developer mode. On a company workspace the admin decides, so ask before you add a tool that can act on LinkedIn.
ChatGPT or Claude for LinkedIn work?
All six tools here also document Claude, so the choice is mostly about which assistant you already use. In Claude, La Growth Machine and Waalaxy say you can find them by name in the connector list instead of pasting a URL. Our roundup of LinkedIn MCP servers for Claude covers that side, and Bingle for Claude and ChatGPT has Bingle's steps for both.
One tool that markets ChatGPT support isn't in the list above. HeyReach's MCP page says you can run LinkedIn outreach without leaving Claude or ChatGPT, but on 25 October 2026 its help centre's MCP guides covered Claude, Clay, VS Code and Make, with no ChatGPT steps. Its pricing is broken down in how much HeyReach costs.
LinkedIn's rules still apply inside a chat
LinkedIn's limits on invitations and messages don't change because the instruction came from a chat. ChatGPT is only where you type it; the tool behind the connector still sends from your account, so the same weekly caps apply. Our connection request limit post covers what LinkedIn publishes.
What changes the risk is how each tool reaches your account. Reach MCP works through a Chrome extension on your live session, Linked API through a cloud browser you sign in to, and Bingle, Expandi, La Growth Machine and Waalaxy through their own apps. Expandi says its MCP keeps to the same daily limits, warm-up and sending hours as the rest of its product, and Bingle sends in your working hours, spaced through the day. Whichever you use, keep to the volumes in how many connection requests LinkedIn allows, and for Australian rules see LinkedIn outreach in Australia.
What to try in your first session
- Ask a read-only question first, such as "which of my campaigns has the best reply rate this month" or, in Bingle, "who should I contact today and why".
- Ask for a draft to someone you already know, read it, and approve one send. Confirm in the tool itself that exactly one thing went out.
- Find the disconnect button in both ChatGPT and the tool before you rely on it.
Before you send at volume, run a few drafts through our LinkedIn message checker. For tools that put a person between draft and send, see LinkedIn automation tools with message approval, or browse all our comparisons.
Questions
Can ChatGPT send LinkedIn messages for me?
Only through a connector that has a send tool, such as Linked API, Reach MCP, La Growth Machine or Bingle with sending allowed. Expandi's connector only sends replies you approve in existing threads, and Waalaxy's can't send at all.
Is there an official LinkedIn app for ChatGPT?
We didn't find one. Linked API's MCP page says LinkedIn doesn't publish an MCP server and that its developer platform offers REST APIs, most of them behind partner approval, so every option here is a third party.
Do I need ChatGPT Plus to use these?
The vendors disagree: Expandi says custom plugins work on every ChatGPT plan, while Reach MCP says they generally need a paid plan. Check whether Developer mode appears in your own Settings; on Business and Enterprise an admin has to allow it.
Does ChatGPT see my LinkedIn password?
Not with these tools. You sign in to the tool, usually with OAuth or a magic link; Bingle never sees your LinkedIn password, Linked API says it never stores it, and Reach MCP uses your existing browser session instead.
