Short answer
What is the best LinkedIn outreach tool for an independent consultant?
For a solo consultant who wants a short list of people with a reason to hire them now, and to approve every message before it goes, Bingle is our pick at US$49 a month, or US$490 a year, after 7 free days with no card. Sales Navigator Core suits you if you want better search with no automation at all, Waalaxy and Meet Alfred cost least on yearly plans, and Dripify and Expandi add email steps to LinkedIn sequences.
Six LinkedIn outreach tools a solo consultant might pick
Each one's entry price and plan details as its own site showed them on 25 October 2026.
How we compared
We read the pricing pages of LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Waalaxy, Meet Alfred, Dripify and Expandi, plus LinkedIn's help page on Sales Navigator plans, on 25 October 2026, and worked out each cost for one person ourselves. Where a page hid a price behind a toggle or a placeholder, we say so rather than guess. We didn't run paid trials of the other tools. Bingle's details come from its own pricing and user guide.
We make Bingle, so weigh its entry and our pick with that in mind. The order isn't a ranking: each tool says who it suits and where it falls short.
| Best for | Starting price |

| The lowest yearly cost for simple invite campaigns | From €19/user/mo with yearly billing; 14-day trial |
| Meet Alfred | |
| A cheap one-seat plan paid yearly | From US$29/user/mo billed annually |
| Bingle | |
| A short, timed list and approval of every message | 7 days free, no card; then from US$49/mo |

1. LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Better search with no automation risk · From US$119.99/mo (A$154.99); US$1,079.88/yr billed annually
Sales Navigator is LinkedIn's own prospecting product, so using it carries none of the account risk that comes with third-party automation. Core is the single-user plan. LinkedIn's help centre lists advanced search filters, 50 InMail credits a month, up to 10,000 saved leads and accounts, custom lists, alerts and the Relationship Map.
LinkedIn's plans page priced Core at US$119.99 a month or US$1,079.88 a year, and A$154.99 a month or A$1,499.88 a year in Australian dollars, with a note that the figures may exclude GST. The free trial is for members who aren't on a paid LinkedIn plan and haven't had a LinkedIn trial in the past 365 days. Our Sales Navigator pricing post covers every plan.
Watch out for: It finds people and alerts you, and you write and send every message yourself. Core leaves out buyer intent signals and CRM sync, and it is the dearest single line in this post.
2. Waalaxy
The lowest yearly cost for simple invite campaigns · From €19/user/mo with yearly billing; 14-day trial
Waalaxy runs LinkedIn invite and message campaigns from a cloud app. Pro allows 300 invitations a month and Advanced 800. Both include 25 Email Finder credits a month, but cold email sequences only come with the Business plan at €69.
The €19 Pro price is what the page shows with yearly billing selected, which is its default view. Its FAQ says annual plans save up to 50% with one upfront payment, and we couldn't read the monthly-billing figure on 25 October 2026, so expect to pay more month to month. A LinkedIn Inbox add-on is €20 a month. Bingle vs Waalaxy goes deeper.
Watch out for: The headline price means paying a year upfront, prices are in euros, and email sequences need the €69 plan.
3. Meet Alfred
A cheap one-seat plan paid yearly · From US$29/user/mo billed annually
Meet Alfred's Individual plan is one seat of LinkedIn automation at US$29 a month billed annually, or US$348 a year. It includes 1,000 Lead Finder results and unlimited sequence actions, but leaves out multichannel sequences, Sales Navigator, InMail and attachments. Business, at US$49 a month billed annually, adds email, X, Sales Navigator, InMail and post scheduling.
The page says annual billing saves 40%. On 25 October 2026 its monthly and quarterly prices showed as "$00" placeholders, so we couldn't check them, and it doesn't state how long the free trial lasts.
Watch out for: Ask for the monthly price before you sign up, because the page didn't show one. The entry plan doesn't work with Sales Navigator.
4. Bingle
A short, timed list and approval of every message · 7 days free, no card; then from US$49/mo
Bingle watches LinkedIn for buying signals, such as a profile view, a new leader in the function you serve, a job change, hiring, funding, events or engagement with a competitor's posts. It keeps the people who fit your ideal customer and ranks them by fit and timing, with the reason shown. For a consultant the move that matters most is often a past contact changing jobs: people who replied to you, engaged with you or went into a sequence are watched, and come back as a lead at their new company.
Each message is drafted in your voice from that person's signal and waits in an approval queue until you approve, edit or regenerate it, unless you switch review off for a sequence. It sends from your own LinkedIn in the working hours you set, starts a newly connected account at lower daily limits and pauses for a day if LinkedIn pushes back. You can also switch off automatic sending and send each approved message yourself from Today's sends. Bingle never sees your LinkedIn password.
Starter is US$49 a month for one LinkedIn account, or US$490 a year, since annual billing is 10 months for 12. Growth, at US$79, watches every signal Bingle offers, up to 25 at once, with unlimited sequences.
Watch out for: It is LinkedIn only: no email steps, no contact database and no phone numbers. It doesn't answer replies or book meetings for you. Once billing opens, Starter is planned to cover 10 signals, 25 new ranked leads a day and one active sequence.
5. Dripify
LinkedIn plus email sequences, trial with no card · From US$79/user/mo (US$59 billed annually)
Dripify runs drip campaigns on LinkedIn and email from the cloud. Pro, at US$79 a month or US$59 a month billed annually, includes LinkedIn and email sequences, unlimited campaigns, a dedicated inbox, analytics, HubSpot, Zapier and webhooks, an open API and an MCP server, and 100 email finder credits a month. Each seat connects one LinkedIn account.
The 7-day trial has Advanced features, needs no card and charges nothing when it ends. Its pricing page lists daily ceilings of up to 75 connection requests, 100+ messages and 200+ profile views.
Watch out for: Those daily ceilings are far above what a consultant should send, so set your own lower volume. A/B testing is listed on Advanced but also shown with a waitlist, so check before paying for it.
6. Expandi
Account-safety settings plus email follow-ups · $99/mo, or $79/mo billed annually (currency not stated)
Expandi is cloud-based and gives each account a dedicated country-based IP address, profile auto warm-up and what it calls smart limit ranges. The Business plan includes unlimited campaigns, sequences that mix connection requests, messages and email follow-ups with if-then logic, step statistics, tags, notes and a blacklist.
Business costs $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually, which the page calls two months free. The page doesn't name the currency and says taxes vary by country. The 7-day trial includes every feature, and image and GIF personalisation cost extra. See Bingle vs Expandi.
Watch out for: It costs the most of the automation tools here. Its pricing page also promotes a Mobile Connector campaign that adds 100 connection requests a week, which pulls the wrong way for someone trying to keep volume low.
Our pick
Bingle is our pick for a consultant selling their own services. You get a short list of people who fit and have a dated reason to talk, each message waits for your OK, and sending stays inside LinkedIn's limits from your own account. That matters when every invite goes out under your name to a market small enough that people compare notes.
It is also one of the cheaper ways in. Starter on annual billing is US$490 a year, less than half of Sales Navigator Core, and the trial needs no card. If you want email in the same sequence, Bingle won't cover that.
What a solo consultant actually needs
A sales team buys outreach software to send more. A consultant usually needs to send less, and better. If one engagement is worth a few months of fees, 30 to 50 well-chosen messages a month is plenty, and the cost of one bad message to a former colleague is higher than the cost of the tool. So we judged these tools on five things, in this order:
- Who to contact: does it find people with a reason to talk now, or only filter a list you bring?
- Control: can you read and approve every message, and can you send by hand if you want no automation at all?
- Safety: does it stay well under LinkedIn's limits from a single account, and ramp up a new connection slowly?
- Cost for one seat: what does a year cost one person, on monthly and on annual billing?
- What you'd pay for and never use: email finders, team roles, white label and agency features.
For where the work comes from and which moments open an engagement, read our LinkedIn outreach for consultants guide. This post sticks to the tools.
What each tool costs one person
These are list prices for a single seat, as each site showed them on 25 October 2026. The yearly columns are our arithmetic. Bingle, Sales Navigator, Meet Alfred and Dripify state US dollars, Waalaxy shows euros, and Expandi shows a dollar sign without naming the currency.
| Tool and plan | Paying monthly | A year, billed monthly | A year, billed annually |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bingle Starter | US$49 | US$588 | US$490 |
| Bingle Growth | US$79 | US$948 | US$790 |
| Sales Navigator Core | US$119.99 (A$154.99) | US$1,439.88 (A$1,859.88) | US$1,079.88 (A$1,499.88) |
| Waalaxy Pro | Not shown in the default view | Not shown | €228 |
| Meet Alfred Individual | Shown as "$00" | Not shown | US$348 |
| Dripify Pro | US$79 | US$948 | US$708 |
| Expandi Business | $99 | $1,188 | $948 |
Two things change the real number. First, stacking: if you pair Sales Navigator with an automation tool, Core plus Dripify Pro on annual billing comes to US$1,787.88 a year before tax. Second, per message. At 40 messages a month you send 480 a year, so Bingle Starter on annual billing works out at about a dollar a message and Sales Navigator Core at about US$2.25. Either is cheap next to one new client.
For Australian buyers, only LinkedIn listed an A$ price. The others charge in US$ or euros, so your bank's exchange rate and any foreign transaction fee apply, and LinkedIn notes its prices may exclude GST.
Keeping your name safe on LinkedIn
Sales Navigator is LinkedIn's own product, so it carries no third-party account risk. With any outside tool, keep volume well inside LinkedIn's limits and approve what goes out, because your name is on every message.
For a consultant the bigger risk is usually social. A clumsy automated follow-up to someone you worked with five years ago does more harm than a paused account. What we'd do, whichever tool you choose:
- Keep approval on for every message, including follow-ups, for at least the first month.
- Leave anyone you already know well out of automated sequences. Write to them yourself.
- Send far below the tool's ceiling. A handful of invites a day is enough at consulting volumes.
- Sign in to LinkedIn from one place at a time while a tool is connected.
- If you'd rather nothing sends on its own, use a tool that lets you copy and send each message by hand.
Our posts on the LinkedIn connection request limit and tools with message approval go further on both points.

What to test in your free week
- Connect your own profile and set the daily volume lower than the default before anything sends.
- Load ten people you know well and check the tool won't message them without you.
- Read the first 20 leads or drafts. Would you send them under your name to someone who might refer you?
- Find the setting that controls approval and confirm whether follow-ups also wait for you.
- Note the price you'd pay after the trial, monthly and annual, in your own currency.
Paste a few drafts into our free LinkedIn message checker to see whether they read like a person. Bingle's plans are on the pricing page, and the comparison hub has the side-by-side pages.
Questions
Do consultants need LinkedIn Sales Navigator?
Not to start. Core's search and alerts help if you prospect cold every week, but at US$1,079.88 a year it costs more than most consultants need when their work comes through people they already know.
Is LinkedIn automation safe for a personal brand?
There is some risk, and you can keep it small. Keep volume well inside LinkedIn's limits, approve every message and leave close contacts out of automated sequences.
What is the cheapest LinkedIn outreach tool for one person?
On the pages we read on 25 October 2026, Waalaxy Pro at €19 a month on yearly billing (€228 a year) and Meet Alfred Individual at US$29 a month billed annually (US$348 a year) were the cheapest. Bingle Starter is US$490 a year on annual billing.
Can I use one tool for LinkedIn and email?
Yes. Dripify and Expandi include email steps on their entry plans, and Waalaxy and Meet Alfred add email on higher plans. Bingle is LinkedIn only.
How many LinkedIn messages should a consultant send a month?
Far fewer than a sales team. If one client is worth months of fees, 30 to 50 well-chosen messages a month, each with a real reason, beats hundreds of cold invites.
